Anna Willard followed up her 5th place finish at the World Championships with a 2nd place showing at the Weltklasse Golden League Meeting in Zurich, Switzerland.  Only world champion Maryam Jamal was able to outsprint Willard over the final 100m.  It was a personal best of 3:59.38 for Anna and her first time under 4:00.  She is now the 3rd fastest American woman of all time over 1500m, trailing only Mary Slaney and Suzy Favor-Hamilton on that list.

Anna Willard wins the first ever BAA Road Mile when she held off 2008 Bronze Medalist, Shalane Flanagan over the three lap course that shares the finish line with the Boston Marathon. Ian Dobson bounced back from a sub-par preformance a couple weeks a go with a second place showing behind champion, Darren Brown. Anna and Ian are focusing on the track this summer with their eyes on the World Championships in Berlin.
