Scott Bauhs

Scott Bauhs

Scott Bauhs re-wrote the Wildcat record books over the course of his three years of competition for Chico under his collegiate coach, Gary Towne. During the 2007 track season, Bauhs pulled off what might be considered one of the biggest upsets in NCAA championship history by beating previously undefeated Nicodemus Naimadu of Abilene Christian to win the 10k title. Bauhs proceeded to add to his list of achievements with an age group American record in the half-marathon, a sub four minute mile, and NCAA Division II American records in the 5k and 10k. He ended his collegiate career with 8 All American awards, and three national titles. His professional career began one week after the 2008 NCAA national cross country meet with a win at the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot and a USATF Club Cross Country national title. Scott joined the Mammoth Track Club where he has continued to improve his times and qualify for two more USA international Teams, under the guidance of Coach Terrence Mahon. He placed third in the USATF Cross Country Championships and fourth in the 3000m at the USATF Indoor Track and Field Championships in 2010. Scott currently runs for adidas and lives in Mammoth Lakes with his wife, Audrey Allas

Josh Cox

Josh Cox

Josh Cox, the 50k American Record Holder, burst onto the national running scene by winning and setting a course record in a 50-mile ultra marathon at the tender age of 22. When he was 23, he ran his first marathon in 2:19, making him the youngest qualifier for the 2000 US Olympic Marathon Trials. Later that year, Cox blistered the 4th fastest time in the US with a 2:13 clocking in Chicago. Since then, Cox, a four-time Olympic Trials qualifier and three-time US National Team member, has garnered the top US spot at the World Track and Field Championships and trained with the world's best. Cox bookended 2009 by shattering the 50k American Record by over 4 minutes at Arizona's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in January and closed out the year with a runner up performance at the Cal International Marathon in December. For the former, Cox was named USA Track and Field's Athlete of the Week.

As a TV personality, Cox currently offers his professional perspective as an on-air personality for NBC Universal, and is a web host for Runner's World. In 2005, Cox starred on ABC's hit reality show, The Bachelorette. In addition to his 140 mile a week training regimen, Cox is active as a speaker and writer. Josh and fellow Mammoth Track Club member, Ryan Hall, are writing a running book, Soul Runners, due out in 2011 through Harvest House Publishers.
