Bob Larson, Meb Keflezghi's coach, talks after the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials about working with the Olympic Silver Medalist for the past 18 years.

Coach Bob Larsen coached at UCLA and was very successful, during the 21 years he coached the Bruins cross team and for 15 years he was the head track coach. As the track coach Larsen won 2 NCAA team championships and nine top-ten finishes his dual meet meet record was a remarkable 118-3-1. At UCLA he recruited Mebrahtom Keflezighi (Meb) in 1994 and the two have been together ever since. Meb?s 2004 silver medal was the first medal won by an American in the Marathon sine Frank Shorter did it in 1976. Larson started Team Running USA; a post collegiate group based out of Mammoth Lakes, CA where he trains multiple professionals including Meb and Jacques Sallberg.
